Accelerated Online Paramedic Program Starts April 1
Further Your Career, Closer to Home
If you are a currently registered emergency medical technician (EMT) ready to take the next step, keep reading! The School of EMS, together with Bemidji-based EMS education center LifeSigns Plus, are taking applicants for an accelerated 10-month online paramedic program starting April 1.
About the Paramedic Program
The School of EMS is offering this online paramedic program designed to advance your career while easily fitting into a busy schedule. Delivered through an online education platform, students are provided 24/7 access to class lectures, discussions, and assignments to be completed whenever and wherever it works for you. The only travel requirements of the course include three intensive live skills weeks where participants will engage in hands-on skills training in advanced care.
These live weeks will take place in Bemidji, a convenient location for many providers in northeastern and northwestern Minnesota. These sessions are hosted and taught locally by LifeSigns Plus and Bemidji Ambulance Service. Their involvement underscores the program’s commitment to delivering high-quality, practical training by leveraging local expertise and taking the lead in progressive education.
Two course tracks are available to students. The first is paramedic certification, while a second option prepares you to pursue an A.A. degree after completing the course. A high school diploma or GED is required. Financial aid options are available to eligible participants. Course fees can be covered through employer sponsorship or self-payment for funding flexibility.
This accelerated paramedic program represents a significant opportunity for EMTs in northern Minnesota to advance their careers while continuing to work full-time and stay involved with family life. Apply soon, space is limited.
